ROLE BREAKDOWN
LOOK DEVELOPMENT/SURFACING - For this project I was lead LookDev artist, and was responsible for almost all surfacing throughout the scene outside of a few singular background assets. I also created smart materials to be repeated throughout the scene for the rubble, with procedural variations to add more realism. I also was responsible for the groom of the mitten, which consists of four different grooms for the mitten body, cuff, arm, and sleeve.
MODELING - I utilized Maya and ZBrush to model various background buildings, as well as the hand asset. I also simmed a cloth to fall on the arm and rubble, and deformed the sleeve groom to the simmed model.
SOUND DESIGN - I was the lead sound design artist for this short, and was responsible for all sound sourcing, audio mixing and equalizing. I sourced the majority of audio sounds from Splice.com and Zapsplat.com, but also recorded my own foley audio in a sound booth to acheive the effect that I desired. I used Adobe's Premiere Pro to compile and edit the audio together and perfect the timing to the video clips of the short.
